Elliot Foundation recognised by the DfE as 'An example of success'

The day after Ofsted published their ‘Outstanding’ report into Shirestone Academy, the Elliot Foundation as a whole has been recognised by the DfE as, “an example of success”.

The DfE conducted a rigorous assessment of performance data across the academy sector and then followed this up with in-depth interviews of a select group of academy chains who could provide successful models, insights and lessons learned to new academy sponsors.

We are proud and slightly humbled to be recognised so quickly - less than two years after we opened our first academy in Walsall. But be assured that we know this recognition is actually due for the work carried out each day by all of our teachers and all of the children in all of our schools. Equally we know there is much that we need to be better at. This is just a starting point.

But it’s nice to know that the work is recognised.
