Kings Rise Academy

The Federation of Croft, Woods Bank and Kings Rise Schools Kings Rise Academy, is 3 miles to the North of Birmingham city centre and was founded in 1932 as a co-educational primary school. We work in close partnership with other organisations, the Elliot Foundation and our federated schools – Woods Bank and Croft Academy. All 3 academies made progress and continued to improve from the previous year.

With over three hundred pupils, a nursery unit, Full Day Care and a Breakfast Club, Kings Rise Academy is a vibrant multi-cultural school growing all the time. Under the leadership of Executive Principal Paul Edgerton and Principal Louise Noonan, all staff are committed to providing the best education for all pupils to ensure that they achieve well. We strive to ensure that deprivation is not a barrier to achieving and our results continue to reflect this. The school has worked hard developing links with pupils and families, providing a strong focus on community and parental engagement; parenting and adult literacy classes, parent support groups and multiple extra-curricular sports and creative groups. Nurture Group Provision for pupils to support pupils to develop their social and emotional skills alongside their academic attainment.

Kings Rise Academy firmly believes that the education of each child is best achieved through a close partnership with parents and carers. A close partnership between parents and school is fundamental for achieving the best education for all pupils. OFSTED, July 2014 judged our school to be outstanding. The pupils, staff, parents and community are extremely proud of this recognition. Safety, behaviour, teaching, learning and leadership remain prioritised for ensuring our high standards are constantly challenged.
